Slippery Falls Scout Ranch - Maverick Troop Registration
Maverick Camp will be available weeks 5 & 6. Slippery Falls will provide the
leadership of a Scoutmaster. The Maverick Troop is an opportunity for Scouts to attend a
second week of camp, or to attend camp if their troop did not attend.
A Maverick application - along with full payment - must be submitted at least two weeks
prior to the Scout’s scheduled arrival at camp. Maverick space is limited and will be
filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please submit the Maverick Troop application
along with the merit badge schedule sheet. The cost of Maverick Troop for In-Council is
$195; Out-of-Council is $205. If a leader or parent will be attending with their son, they
may attend for free by agreeing to provide additional leadership to the Maverick Troop Campsite. Please contact the Camp Director to make these arrangements at (405) 840-1114.
Plan to arrive at camp between 1:00 and 3:00 P M on the check-in date.
The adults volunteering to act as Scoutmasters for Maverick Troops
attend for free. However, these leaders will be responsible for the Maverick Troop
Campers, just like a regular Scoutmaster. Their responsibilities will include such duties
as discipline, coordinating schedules and getting the troop to meals.
