Summer Camp Staff
Each summer, the Last Frontier Council employees over 70 youth and adults as members of the Slippery Falls Scout Ranch staff. In addition to several weekend meetings in the spring, the staff work for a full week prior to camp opening to make sure campers have a top-quality summer camp experience.
Adult volunteers may serve as camp commissioners for one or more weeks during the summer. Camp commissioners make sure that each unit has a successful camp experience. Regular visits with unit leaders and Scouts make sure that camp is an enjoyable and friendly place. Commissioners help solve problems by working with other staff members and are critical to the success of Slippery Falls. To volunteer as a camp commissioner, please contact the Ranch Director.
Slippery Falls Scout Ranch is always in need of additional talent on staff. To be employed as a camp staff member, candidates must be at least 15 years old and agree to register as a member of the Boy Scouts of America.

Camp Staff Development program (CSD)
For Scouts or Venturers at least 14 years old, Slippery Falls Scout Ranch offers a Camp Staff Development (CSD) program. Youth must have permission from their unit leader and submit an application form with references. Scouts in the CSD program will be at camp for one or two weeks and serve without compensation, similar to an unpaid internship. Scouts will learn about various areas of camp and skills necessary to be employed on staff.

The main staff interview day will be Saturday, February 4, 2012.

Staff housing
Construction is nearing completion on new staff showers/restrooms. Construction is well underway on the cabins for staff members 18+ years old. Check out the facebook page for photo updates as construction progresses!
